Farmer's Walk / Patio Supper

Song:  Tao

Artist:  Kitaro

We went to my elder sister's house so my sister and mother could
do the Farmer's Walk together.

My sister took the first turn with the 50 lb. Trap Bar.

They switched off the gloves...

and it was my mother's turn.

My mother walked for two sets.

We will be doing it three times a week.

When my mother appears stronger...
I will add sets to her walk.

My elder sister laughed because my mother wanted to stand in the shade...
so she stood in the shade of my sister.  : )

My sister walked the bar home.

Afterwards...
we went out onto the patio and my sister made a quick supper for us.

This cat face top keeps tea hot.

My sister then made some cookies for dessert.

They still need to put in their backyard patio.
They will be doing it soon.

My sister searched for a good Korean Drama to watch.

I was surprised by how much heat that fireplace puts out.

My elder sister and her husband really enjoy their outdoor covered patio.

Their patio furniture easily repositions into a queen size bed.

So, they may lie down and watch TV late at night outside.

My mother felt very relaxed after her workout and supper.

Sometime soon...
we will be going to Lower Eagle Falls
at Lake Tahoe for a sunrise photo session.

My mother is really looking forwards to it.

Just Another Sunrise For My Mother

Song:  Simple And Sweet

Artist: Hilary Stagg

If you enjoy the various sunrises and sunsets...
I made another blog just for the clouds
which my wife and I have taken pictures of for years.

I just included some of the best shots there.

As my mother and I are usually up all night...
we may catch the best sunrises and sunsets from lookout point...
just down the street from where she lives.

------------

My mother ate well last night.

I made one of her favorite meals...
Butter Sautéed Salmon...
rice...
and Fire Roasted Ponzu Peppers...
and one bottle of Blue Moon White Belgian Beer  :)

She stuffed herself...
so...
she was in a particularly good mood this morning.

My mother also greatly enjoys looking at the city lights.

We arrived in plenty of time...
so, I set up our chairs and we sat and looked at the city lights until
the sky started turning colors as the sun rose.

I wanted to show how almost the whole sky started turning colors...
even behind us.

My mom had a good time watching the sun rise.

It is one of our hobbies.

Lookout point is but seconds away from her home.

The simple pleasures in life are often the best...
and they are free.

A "Vested" Hana At Lookout Point

Song:  The Girl From Ipanema

Artist:  Calikokat

We again went out to lookout point for the sunset.

The air is fresh and a cool breeze blows...
but it is not cold.

Yet...
my mother insists on dressing up like an Eskimo.

Worse...
she insists that her dog...Hana...also have a vest on.

She took off one of her vests and put it on Hana.

Then my mother zipped the vest up.

Poor Hana.

She then just lay down on the ground.

She was still grateful for the sights, sounds, and smells of lookout point.

It was another nice lavender sunset.

I especially liked this veil cloud.

Tomorrow...
I will take my mother to my elder sister's house so they can do the
Farmer's Walk together.

Each day...
I look out at the sky to see if there are any interesting clouds.

If so...
I take my mother out to see, either the sunset or sunrise...
or both, if the clouds are interesting.

A Sunset, Scallops, And My Mother's First Farmer's Walk

Song:  Walking In The Air

Artist:  Aled Jones

My mother and I went to Lookout point just down the street from her house...
to watch the sun set.

We go here often for the sunsets and sunrises.

My mother enjoys getting out for fresh air with a view.

This night's sunset was a lavender sunset.

I then made one of my mother's favorite meals...
butter sautéed scallops with a large Caesar's Salad and rice.

She ate two large helpings of salad...
and eight large scallops.

However...
I am also starting her on a Farmer's Walk exercise program 3x a week...
so, her appetite will surely increase.

I will drive her to my elder sister's house so they may do the walk together.

When one rests...the other will take over.

My mother just walked across the driveway and back...
but it was a good start.

Her only complaint was that her hands got sore  :)

No problem...
her hands...
as well as her whole body...
will toughen and strengthen.

This one exercise will adequately stress her muscles, tendons, bones...
and cardiovascular system.

This one exercise will help keep her strong, healthy, and young for her age.
