Flowers For Mom

As only now the temperatures have stabilized above freezing...

and we had the outside water turned on...

my elder sister and I took my mother to a local nursery 

to get some flowers for her flower garden.

She has two fully water plumed raised flower beds in which I planted various colored irises.

My mother will enjoy her flowers as they bloom...

and I will cut some to put in a vase for her to enjoy inside her house.

I ended up planting the four yellow irises in the front rows...

and I put the purple irises along the middle rows.

I also ordered 50 various colored gladiola bulbs on line to fill the back rows.

Once they arrive...

I will plant them.

They have spectacular blooms.

My mother will especially love them.

Her backyard is taking shape a little at a time.

My mother greatly enjoys sitting outside and viewing her backyard 

from the comfort of her patio.

This summer will be a time when we will sit outside often...

enjoying cups of coffee and eating delicious snacks or meals.

I will take more photos once the full flower garden comes into bloom.
