As we were not so hungry on this night...
and as we had leftover spaghetti noodles from the previous night
after our meal of Italian Spaghetti...
I decided that our meal would consist of a quick and light meal
of sushi rice, Mentaiko, and some of the dried fish my mother always has on hand.
These packets make for a very quick...
but delicious meal.
All of the ingredients, except for the rice, is included in this packet.
I love spicy cod roe over spaghetti noodles.
Both packets are available at almost any Asian market...
or off of Amazon.
My mother had the rice ready when I had arrived at her house to make supper.
All we had to do was to add the ingredients to the rice...
and to mix it in.
The package includes the shredded Nori.
I just simply briefly microwaved the leftover spaghetti noodles...
added the spicy cod roe packet...
and mixed it in.
The dried fish is excellent for a very easily absorbed and utilized form of calcium...
as it already has a balanced form of calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus
in the small soft bones of the dried fish.
They are already gutted...
and you may eat them whole...
head and all.
There is no preparation needed.
With just a little soy sauce over them...
they are very delicious.
My mother loves the variety of food that I make for her.
Again...
although I am not a talented cook...
I do know how to efficiently make nutritious and delicious food...
as well as making it economical.
We would have had a sprout salad before eating the main meal...
however, we ate the last of the last batch of sprouts the night before.
I have a new batch growing at this time.

Eating small dried fish often...
is very healthful.
They are high in protein...
as well as in other nutrients.
It makes a perfect snack.
My son, Alex, also loves eating these.
